Here is a tune I did with Guns 4 Hire and Jesse Heath:
On the tune, I decided just to use some TC Electronic D2 delay for intro and Lexicon Reflex verb for all other parts. In the end this sounded better on this tune. I also used My Zendrive which is a killer pedal. http://www.hermidaaudio.com/ Thanks Alf for making such a killer pedal!
On the solo octave part and walk down on the end of the solo after first chorus. I used a Keeley BD2 with Phat Mod. http://www.robertkeeley.com/ Thanks Robert for a very cool mod and support!
On the tune Move On, I went for more harmonic content. The tune is in D Minor. So I decided to, play part of D minor triad in the 5 position. Than slide up to the 10th position using D minor Pentatonic and ending with a B diminished triad.. I'm using my music Man Steve Morse guitar. I have neck & Bridge Humbuckers on from 5th to 10th position and than switch to just the Bridge pickup for the B Diminished Triad at the end.
The first solo after the first Chorus, I used Octaves walking up the guitar neck and into D Minor Pentatonic. Using the SM guitar, I have the neck humbucker on, than switch to the Neck and Bridge pickup on, than switch to the neck pickup for the end of the solo.
The Guitar Solo is all Zendrive. Here I'm using (D) minor Pentatonic and a (D) Dorian scale. I'm weaving in and out of both scales. When the solo starts I have the SM guitar on both Humbuckers, than I switched to the neck pickup for the middle of the solo and switched to the Bridge Pickup on the last part of the solo.
The End Guitar solo again is all Zendrive. Again I'm using (D) Minor Pentatonic and (D) Dorian scales. I have my SM guitar on the bridge pickup and in some parts switch to the Bridge single coil, for a little tele vibe.
All Chord tones are the Zendrive also. Click on Music to take a listen..............................
